SEWING - FELTING - EMBROIDERY
Textile art and design are a testament to human creativity and combine functionality with aesthetic expression. Because textiles not only serve practical purposes, but also convey cultural narratives, social identities and serve as status symbols. Especially in today's world, textile art is experiencing a resurgence as it transcends boundaries. Versatility plays a central role in everyone's life, and the combination of art and utility not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also reflects social trends. This path is characterised by the name #thezimonway.
The materials are carefully selected and can be upcycled fabrics as well as very natural fabrics such as hemp, linen, wool, silk or cotton and also special fabrics, for example those used for
shielding. As the various fabrics emit an energetic vibration and therefore the clothing has a frequency that affects human well-being, ZIMON is paying more attention to this area and
experimenting in this direction, as natural fibres tend to have high frequencies, while synthetic fabrics such as polyester in particular have very low frequencies, which has a negative effect on
body sensation. Equally interesting is the broad field of shielding fabrics, because shielding fabrics basically fulfil the same function as structural electrosmog shielding. They contain
metallic fibres or layers that act like a mirror to the fields they are exposed to. These metallic materials reflect the rays and protect the area behind them. Shielding materials are used to
reduce or block electromagnetic radiation (electrosmog). They can shield high-frequency fields such as those from WLAN or mobile phones, but also low-frequency alternating electric fields. The
effectiveness depends on the type of substance and the frequency of the radiation and, especially in this day and age of high radiation exposure, this is a broad and interesting field of
research.
